DED Technology Suite: Advanced monitoring solutions in additive manufacturing

One key area in which additive manufacturing is particularly prominent is direct energy deposition (DED). This technology, which enables a build-up process through the precise supply of energy and material, is a central element of modern manufacturing solutions. 

We have developed the DED Technology Suite to ensure that the melting and solidification processes take place under optimum conditions and that material defects or irregularities are detected at an early stage. This innovative solution combines two advanced products - the processobserver and the plasmoeye.

For example, the implementation of our DED Technology Suite in xBeam systems has proven to be crucial for optimizing production processes and, as part of the CLASCO development team, we are additionally contributing our extensive knowledge and experience in the field to an EU research project besides developing concrete solutions for our customers.
